| Applet is out of order too. :( I've deleted previous version and add this one. May some i have to remove some conf. files in /.gdesklets? P.S. Ubuntu 8.04, Newest GDesklets, other applets are working fine. |

| Make sure that in case you have another instance of GoodWeather installed. That you remove those. Take a look at /usr/share/gdesklets and of course ~/.gdesklets/ In both location there should be no GoodWeather directory under Displays and Sensors Then put Displays and Sensors to your ~/.gdesklets you might like to kill of the pid you get with 'ps ax | grep gdesklets' In my case the out put is: 7516 ? Sl 8:40 python /usr/lib/gdesklets/gdesklets-daemon 30209 pts/7 S+ 0:00 grep gdesklets then 'kill 7516' Then start gdesklets again from the application menu I'm also under 8.04 cheers |

| Appler works fine. You (me) need just MANUAL installation (copy to Displays and Sensors - read INSTALL.txt for futher info). I have installed using gDesklets shell and URL - not working. A lot of thanks, lofo. |

| Is it possible to have less than four labels? I don't need that much detail and it makes the text extend outside the display area. With 0.31 I also have a strange extended bottom border. I'd add a screenshot but the forum doesn't seem to allow this. |

| I installed this, like it. Wanted wind as an option, wasn't available in the config but is in the class. So, I added the config option in __init__ and set up a fourth label to show it. The border has an issue as downloaded, it was not displaying the lower part of the bg (noted in comment by davidjxyz above). Fixed it by changing: height="80" to: height="100" on line 27 of GoodWeather.display. Also, I added few other cool tricks that let me click on the "today" icon and go to weather.com for the full info set, and another mod that integrates a mouse-over icon that pulls up an integrated doppler radar image. This applet is a great piece of code to start with and these things are easy to mod. Keep up the good work! |
