gDesklets is a system for bringing mini programs (desklets), such as weather forecasts, news tickers, system information displays, or music player controls, onto your desktop, where they are sitting there in a symbiotic relationship of eye candy and usefulness. The possibilities are really endless and they are always there to serve you whenever you need them, just one key-press away. The system is not restricted to one desktop environment, but currently works on most of the modern Unix desktops (including GNOME, KDE, Xfce).
We're currently transitioning to a new way of installing controls and desklets. This basically means that desklets that are installed via this site need the controls they depend on. These controls need to be installed manually to ~./gdesklets/Controls.

Login is currently not possible through gdesklets.de because the real domain is at gdesktlets.linuxprofessionals.org and when logging in from gdesklets.de the cookie on your computer is set for gdesklet.de and not for gdesktlets.linuxprofessionals.org. This issue is security related and work-arounds are being considered. Hopefully the issue will be solved in the future. Meanwhile please use the form here to login. The issue has been fixed. You can now also login through http://www.gdesklets.de
