0.40 prototype gets ready for launch

The prototype of 0.40 has been uploaded on Launchpad and the main focus of development is currently there. The launchpad site is at launchpad.net/gdesklets.

The prototype isn't currently very usable. If you wish to help development, just join the gDesklets team and checkout the bazaar branch. There's multiple HACKING text files in the prototype to help you get started and ROADMAP tells you about the most crucial features that need implementing. Of course it's advisable to contact people on the mailing list and make sure that nobody else is working on the same thing ;-)

Website updates

Control submissions can now be done with the help of manifest files: simple plain text files that are added to control packages to define metadata.

Website is entering beta

I've submitted a bunch of my own controls and desklets and I'm confident enough to say that the website should now work. If something fails, please contact me directly ยป lauri(AT)sokkelo(DOT)net.
